题  目：Radio observations of the formation of the first galaxies

摘  要：At high redshift, the standard molecular gas emission lines and atomic fine structure lines, redshift into the cm through submm spectrum. These lines trace the cold molecular gas, the fuel for star formation in galaxies, as well as dominate ISM gas cooling.  I will present an overview of the observational diagnostics used in this wavelength to probe the formation of first galaxies. I will then present our extensive study the formation of the first massive galaxies through observations of quasar host galaxies at z~6.  The observations reveal coeval formation of massive galaxies and supermassive black holes within 1Gyr of the Big Bang. I will conclude with a summary of the major advances coming in these fields with the advent of the EVLA and ALMA.
