报告题目：Hunting for progenitors: the GRB-Supernova connection

摘　  要：Cosmological Gamma-Ray Bursts are discovered almost on daily basis. They are usually bright event localised very quickly with good accuracy and therefore they are well studied at many wavelengths (from gamma-rays to radio). There are strong evidences that long duration "nearby" GRBs are linked with the death of very massive stars and the most direct evidence of that physical link is given to us by few well observed Supernovae. In this seminar I will focus on the connection between these two phenomena, with a comprehensive summary of all the observed properties, trying to pin down the possible origin of these very energetic events, hunting for their progenitors.
