报告题目：Stellar Population Synthesis and its Application

　　报告人：李忠木 教授（云南大理学院）

　　报告人简介：李忠木，2008年博士毕业于中国科学院云南天文台，导师为韩占文研究员；2009年至2013年在中国科学院国家天文台做在职博士后，合作导师为赵刚研究员。2010年晋升为教授，现为云南省中青年学术带头人，担任大理学院工程学院副院长、天文学与科技史研究所所长，云南省天文学会理事、中国青年科技工作者协会会员。他从2003年开始一直从事天体物理学研究，主要研究方向为星族合成及其应用，主要工作是建立了一系列的新模型、给出了通过颜色研究星族的方法，至今发表SCI论文30多篇。曾被邀请参加了第58届诺贝尔奖获得者大会，获得中国科学院院长奖、中科院王宽诚人才奖、云南省自然科学奖、云南省优秀科技论文一等奖、云南青年五四奖章提名奖等奖励。

　　摘要：Stellar population synthesis is a main technique to study galaxies and star clusters. I will talk about my works on stellar population synthesis and its application in detail. A main part of my works is the theoretical modeling of stellar populations, which has taken single stars, binaries, rotating stars, and multiple population into account and it can better reproduce many observations. The other part is the application to galaxy and star cluster studies, including the methods and some main results. In particular, I will introduce my new stellar population model and a code for color-magnitude diagram studies.
