  报告题目:Chasing obscuring winds in type-I AGN

  摘要:Photoionized outflows are commonly observed in bright active galactic nuclei (AGN) via high-resolution UV and X-ray spectroscopy. These outflows are thought to influence the evolution of their host galaxy. Other than the classical warm absorbers and ultra-fast outflows, a new breed of photoionized outflows has been recently discovered in a handful of Seyfert 1 galaxies, including NGC5548 and NGC 3783. From the observational point of view, this new type of obscuring wind features a heavily obscured soft X-ray continuum and the appearance of blue-shifted and broad UV absorption lines. The obscuring wind has a typical line-of-sight column density of 10^{22-23} cm^{-2} (from X-ray observations) and an outflow velocity up to a few 10^3 km/s (from UV observations). It most likely originates from the accretion disk.
