报告摘要：My talk will address the fundamental question of comet physics, namely, cometary activity. I will demonstrate how the microscopic properties of the dust layer covering the surface of the nucleus influence the macroscopic activities of the comet. Additionally, I will discuss how the sublimation of ices from beneath these layers leads to their modification and causes dramatic changes. I will emphasize the continuous connection between microscopic characteristics and large-scale manifestations of cometary activity.
