中科院紫金山天文台研究员、博士生导师，紫台“银河系气体分布与性质研究团组”首席科学家。

2001年获南京航空航天大学学士学位，2004年获中科院紫金山天文台硕士学位，2008年获德国海德堡大学博士学位（其间于马普天文所进行博士学习）。2008年至2012年，先后于马普天文所、哈佛－史密松天体物理中心、耶鲁大学进行博士后研究。2012年入职紫台工作至今。长期从事星际分子云与恒星形成的观测研究。截至2022年底，已在国际核心天文刊物上发表论文60余篇，总引用千余次。承担和参加国家基金委、科技部和中科院多个研究项目。中国天文学会会员，国际天文联合会会员，《天文学报》编委。
