报告题目：Accessing Turbulence with PPV Cubes

报告摘要：Since the discovery of turbulence in molecular clouds in the 80's,the study of ISM turbulence has been primarily based on numerical simulations. The lack of access to the line-of-sight dimension makes observational assessment of cloud turbulence very challenging. Sophisticated methods have been developed to derive turbulence properties from position-position-velocity (PPV) data,but they are often too complex to be widely adopted and,most importantly,lack experimental validation. In this talk,I will introduce several existing methods,as well as our newly developed simple recipes for assessing turbulence footprints in PPV cubes. Some of these methods are tested with simulated molecular clouds.
