题 目:eROSITA view of shock heated gas from the outskirts of massive halos to cosmic filaments

摘 要:In the late Universe, numerical simulations suggest that ~50% of baryons reside in shock heated gas in the large scale structures. Observationally, however, the gas properties beyond r200c of massive halos remain poorly constrained due to weak X-ray and SZ signals. Questions of how the gas is distributed in the halo outskirts and cosmic filaments, whether baryons in halos are missing, and where the boundary of a halo is, remain uncertain. The state-of-art eROSITA All-Sky Survey (eRASS) enables detection of this gas in X-rays and address the questions above. In this talk, I will present recent results on the study of shock heated gas at the boundaries of massive halos and cosmic filaments using proprietary eRASS:4 data.
