摘要:宇宙学流体数值模拟是当前星系形成研究的重要理论预言手段。然而现在主流的流体数值模拟如IllustrisTNG、EAGLE等仍旧存在与观测数据直接的重要偏差。为了理解这些偏差的来源,我们基于IllustrisTNG模拟运行了多参数的一套全新模拟VariableTNG。本次报告中,我将介绍该模拟的一些最新进展,如对星系形态分布的影响、与JWST观测等的对比

报告题目2:Galaxy Clustering: Applications in the Galaxy–Halo Connection and Cosmology

摘要:Galaxies are not randomly distributed in the Universe. On large scales,their clustering reflects the underlying distribution of dark matter,which is governed by cosmological parameters. On smaller scales,galaxy formation physics determines how galaxies with different properties occupy dark matter haloes. In this talk,I will present several applications of galaxy clustering as a powerful statistical tool: constraining cosmological parameters in combination with galaxy–galaxy lensing;calibrating redshift distributions of photometric galaxy samples without  resorting to spectroscopic redshifts;and probing the joint distribution of color,magnitude,and halo mass for present-day galaxies.
